John Allen Cassady is Neal and Carolyn Cassady’s youngest child. He is a singer/songwriter, musician and author. With Beat Museum owner Jerry Cimino, John travels in the Beat Museum on Wheels with a multi-media show that incorporates video, slides, poetry readings, music and storytelling to share the story of the Beats with colleges and universities. After working as a computer engineer in Silicon Valley for 20 years, John is currently writing a book about his father, Neal Cassady.John was instrumental in helping us make Carolyn’s journey to Big Sur from London seamless. He traveled from San Jose, CA to New York City to meet up with Carolyn, accompanying her back west on a 3-day cross-country train excursion, much like the one Jack took to Big Sur in 1960.
